B Corp Certification

About B Corp

B Corps are purpose driven, for-profit companies that aim to create positive impacts for society and the environment. Certified B Corporations™, or B Corps™, are companies verified as meeting standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B stands for “benefit”—for people and the planet, not just shareholders.

There are over 10,000 B Corps globally that form the B Corp network – a global movement using collective action to work towards a more inclusive, equitable and fair economy.

Being a B Corp gives companies formal acknowledgement of their actions and impact and guides in continuous improvement in topics such as human rights, fair work, climate action, government affairs and collective action and environmental stewardship.

How to become a certified B Corporation

To become a B Corp, companies must meet high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency. To make the process easier use a Trained B Consultant.

New standards are here raising the bar further. The B Lab Standards V2 require businesses to take meaningful action across seven key social, environmental, and governance Impact Topic areas.

To find out more about the process to achieve certification, contact Suzanne Ridding, a trained B Consultant or take a look at the B Corp website.

Contact Suzanne about coming along to B Local events in Adelaide to meet people from certified B Corps and aspiring B Corps.
